News 2016
Because of the unexpected domestic situation since February & failing mobility, the whippets attended only one local show this year, with Poppy only being shown (Res in Whippet Graduate and 2nd in AV Hound Graduate) - difficult dealing with 3 whippets and paraphenalia on one's own.
They managed one or 2 outings to ADWRC trials, but on the whole have led a reclusive life this year.
Really am hoping to be fit enough for one or 2 very local Open shows in the New Year.
Most sadly, Mark has not been home with his whippets since he said good-bye to them on February 9th and is no longer able to walk them, or talk and play with them, thanks to NHS negligence at his surgery.
Tinka is still grieving for him after nearly a year, and occasionally sleeps on his bed at night, where some of Mark's unwashed! clothes have been left to comfort him.
In Mark's superb very local nursing home, the whippets are allowed to visit him anytime, so he has a whippet visitor once a week.
Because of Mark's condition, it is only Tanzi that knows this different Mark as her Master.
Tinka ignores him as a stranger whilst Poppy is afraid of him. This truly breaks my heart.
